Itching isn't considered a normal side effect of Methadone, the FDA lists it as typically causing side effects, that may include nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. It also carries the risk of being habit forming.

However, itching might occur as a withdrawal symptom, or as an allergic reaction to Methadone.
Do you also have a visible rash? Any hives, or swelling? Have you informed your doctor?
