Had a car crash two weeks ago. I broke my neck,shattered my left foot and had knee surgery three weeks ago. I have been on 60mg. Of methadone fora year now. Big issue finding a pain killer to help with acute pain. Doctor gave me fives, have to take 10 at a time. I need help here.

What type of doctor are you seeing?
If it's just a surgeon or general practitioner, he may not know how to properly manage pain, since that isn't his speciality.

Under the newly enforced laws, if you're in chronic pain, you'll have to seek treatment from a pain management specialist, as regular doctors and surgeons will only be allow to provide pain medications for a very short period of time.
