Methadone Overdose

hey just wondering if anyone would kno what direction to send me! ..a fried of mine his brother was on the methadone program 50 mls. the drug store screwed up made it to strong and gave him 80 some mills.. which ended up killing him. he had no other drugs in his system at the time and this was the reason for his death. now there was a lenghty battle and the family recieved 25,000 for his death which i think it ridiculous. they settled because they couldnt bear to have it drug out any longer. now what im wondring is what can be done for justice to be served now to get it reopen and get these 2 indiviuals who were in the wrong for wrongful distribution held responsible for their actions. The only thing that happened to these 2 were that they got 7 days suspended from work and had to go to another drug store for 1 day to watch them properly distribute the methadone. I think this was patethic considering there was 2 other known ppl overdosed but luckily they vomitted it up before it had a chance to seep through there bodys and eventually kill them to! if anyone has suggestions as to what this family can do from here please send me a msg to let me kno. i will gladly pass the messages along to them! This is a very hard situation for the family to be in and since the parents agreed to take the 25,000 which i should add only covered funeral costs nd not grieving costs they had to sign a statement saying they could not go to the media and say anything about this but im writing this for their son, the brother to the young man who was only 23 at the time of death. He did not sign anything and is free to speak about it as he wishes which i agree he should be considering he was the one who came home from away to get married that week only to walk in and find his brother dead on the floor. so please if u have any info as to where we can turn please contact me i would greatly appreciate it thanks!

I'm sorry, but I have no knowledge of what the laws are where you are located.

I know in the U.S. that once the case was settled, then that would be the end of it. Unless some new evidence popped up the proved gross negligence, it could not be reopened and, even then, it would only be reopened criminally, the family would not be able to sue, again.
