Methadone Doctor Needed In Nj

I live in Colonia NJ and I'm currently going to a clinic to get methadone. The clinic is severely interfering with my daily life. Are there any private doctors in NJ that will prescribe Methadone? I'm not looking for a suboxone doctor. Thank you

The Methadone addiction treatment laws actually fall under federal regulations and all of them require periodic clinic visits for the patients.

Private doctors are actually not allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment, because they can't provide the same supervision and do not have the same training those in the clinic setting do.

Therefore, you'll always have to use a clinic and there will always be a limited time period for which you can get take home doses.

Hi Tommy, I believe dr finelli in elmwood park, nj only prescribes suboxone, not methadone and from what I have heard he has retired to Florida.
