Hi. I need to find help. I am addicted to pain pills and would really like to get off of them. I have tried methadone and it works, i just need help finding a doctor to prescribe it for me. I live in Michigan. If anyone knows could you please help me? I cant go to a clinic because i dont live near one. I live in the upper penninsula but would drive downstate to get a doctor.....

When went to oxy from methadone was taking 85mgs of methadone.....the equivalent in Oxy is 240 or 180mgs of the extended 60mgs a day

Are there any Doctors in Texas that will take me off Suboxone and put me on Methadone? I have chronic pain that is not going away and is definitely not getting better, nor will it...

Hi Nicky, I came across this forum on methadone help and I saw your reply to a few other people who said that they needed help with methadone and that if they lived in NY or could come to NY that you could help them. I need to start a methadone program. I'm a recovering heroin addict and lost my insurance but still need the meds. I don't want to go backwards.

I live in new York. And my doctor is cutting me off of methadone and I am currently looking for a new doctor. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Where in new York. I'm currently on 20mg but used to get 80mg then the doctor retired and his nurse practitioner doesn't want to give it to me anymore. So I'm struggling every night.

There really are not many methadone "doctors" anymore. Most of them are at approved methadone clinics now where you go in on a semi regular basis to get your meds.

Methadone is one bear to get off of. I've been in a clinic for almost 4 years now at 75mg/day. I was on REALLY high dosages of oxy/day (Over 240mg/day for years). I probably blew $100,000 with trips to Mexico, local pain clinic quack (who got busted for oxy dealing LOL). It works great to stop cravings and withdrawal. BUT:
1.) You can't get private health insurance if you tell (or the insurance company finds out) them you are in a Methadone Clinic.
2.) After years, you can still have to go the clinic a few times a week.
3.) Expensive -- $91/week for a drug that's practically free.
4.) Can't get a security clearance. Not that most people worry about that.
It's a good thing, but if I had to do it all over, I'd go find another pain clinic. Back pain: Most people have something wrong on an MRI.

Hi My name is haley. I am living in the boston area and am desperate for a doctor who prescribes methadone. I go to a clinic but I can't do it and find work. I just need a doctor and I am willing to pay to see the doctor. I have masshealth. This medication has saved me from severe pain otherwise I would try to get off of it. I have been on methadone for two years. I hope someone knows. please help me!

i live in utah and am on methadone maintenance for my addiction that i have now given up for methadone and the program does not want to fund me any longer they want 150 a week which i cannot afford and i need a Dr. in my area asap that perscribes methadone

Just located in Long Island, N.Y. In need of pain management doctor for methadone & OxyContin for pain relief. I DO NOT WANT SOME DRUG ADDICT METH. CLINIC!!! Does anyone have any real advice???? I've been on pain management for a decade and I'm having a lot of problems finding someone without all the stigma..... VERY FRUSTRATED!

I got a better idea, why don't you all GET OFF DRUGS period. You all make it seem like a poor pity party almost to the point that you are owed something. Who are you fooling? You got hooked on drugs and now you want a cheaper way to get high? Cry how Methadone is too expensive - guess what, I don't use ANY DRUGS and it is VERY CHEAP FOR ME - Free even. What an amazing concept. I feel absolutely no pity for any of you. Whether you go illegal or legal drugs, all you are is a junkie looking for your next fix. God help each of you.
