My son and daughter inlaw are on methadone and they both are on medicaid. Is there a Medicaid Dr in birmingham where they can receive a prescription for methadone without having to pay the high cost of the dose wheter it is from pain or from addiction???? Please help me I am on SS and try to help them but I can only do so much. They have tried Suboxone but it made them sick. I would rather see them on methadone than on pills or whatever addiction.

i want to visit sc but am on methadone in nc i have medicaid and want to continure my methadone whare is the closest center in nc i will be i sc so i have to dose in nc because of the medicaid resrictions

I have been on methadone for 13 yrs and can no longer afford these high clinic bills. I am also a single mom w/one child. I am desperate to find a Dr. that could prescribe the methadone for me. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I can really only suggest following the advice of the other posters and contacting the clinic that was provided, due to the fact that we have no way of knowing what insurance any given clinic or doctor accepts.

However, you should be aware that Methadone is usually not a method that will completely get you off of all opiates, since it is highly addictive itself and most people end up on a lifetime maintenance dose of it.

For an option that helps people completely remove all drug dependence, you may want to look into Suboxone treatment in your area.

I travel alot and I have been on methadone for 11 years. The doctor I see in NC. Is booked until Oct 14. Very sick can ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE thanks.

Methadone is one of the cheapest pills to be on, if you have a prescription. I get 270 10 mg. pills for $27.22. That is alot of pills. Usually clinics go by income or are free. It depends. Doctors are not allowed by law to prescribe methadone for dependency.
