Methadone Clinic Saliva Drug Test

Ok so get this, my husband and I started going to the methadone clinic everyday. Well the first day we went we got urine tested and saliva tested! Now i know for a fact we both had pot and opiates. But i also had oxy in my system along with the other 2. We both failed the urine test; my husband for marijuana and opiates, and myself for marijuana, oxy, and opiates. So next we take the saliva test and we were both on high mgs of morphine, percocets, dilladid, and opana. Along with the marijuana. Now here's the tricky and unbelievable part: My husband failed for everything he was supposed to fail for. So my counselor puts a flag on me in the computer to go by her office before going to get my methadone. So i did and she told me that i had not only passed for marijuana but that i passed that test for everything and that i had nothing in my system even when i failed my urine test the same day i took the saliva test!!! My question is how is this possible? I failed my urine test but passed my saliva test. I am flabbergasted right now bc now they need a 3rd party to prove that i really have been taking pills! And i know for a fact i have been because i was spending 200 dollars a day on pills! I ruined my life on them! I lost my job bc i was too sick on days i couldn't find anything! I lost my car, my license, and everything that i just wanted to have i don't have my laptop anymore or my tablet and just everything. So i know i should have definitely failed the saliva test for opiates. Hell i took over 125mg of morphine the day b4 we went to the clinic. So i know for an absolute fact there's no doubt in my mind i should have failed that test 100 percent. I should not have passed for everything. Hell i should not have passed at all! I should have failed for oxycodone, opiates, and marijuana! Instead i passed for everything!!!! How in the hell is this possible? I didn't do anything to even try to pass it at all. What is so weird to me is how in the hell i failed my urine test for all three but i passed the saliva test with flying colors!!!! My question is how can i fail my urine test for marijuana, opiates, and oxycodone; and pass my saliva test for every thing??? How is this possible???

That's crazy! I know the saliva test drugs do not stay in saliva as long as urine but since u took morphine day before should've definitely been in system... Makes no sense.

Makes no sense that the clinic will deny you help based on a saliva test when they have a urine test showing that you were dirty. When I started the clinic they did not Bass admitting you strictly on a drug test and your clinics should it either because they are federally mandated and all have to follow the same rules and regulations

This is because you may have brushed your teeth and mouth well and used mouthwash before you went in. Did you drink hot coffee before the test, drink water, or any liquids before? This dilutes the saliva in your mouth and makes any chemicals less recognizable. The urine tests show everything. In the clinic i go to they don't use urine tests because they tend to show meds that are just normal meds, but after they go through your body they come out in the urine as benzos, or other illegal drugs. I know because i was on zoloft and had a urine test through my clinic as well as a swab on a call back on day because i have take homes, and i came back positive on the urine for benzos. I was pissed off. I said i don't take that s***. So when the swab came back negative for benzos i decided to talk to my pharmacy, who gave me the number to the maker of my zoloft, pfizer is the name of the company. My clinic pulled my takehomes too. So i called pfizer and asked them if zoloft can come up positive for benzos on urine tests. They said yes, and it happens more with women who don't have thyroids for some reason. Well i had had my thyroid removed months earlier. So, i made them talk to the head nurse at my clinic, they agreed that this was a false positive, Also my swab was negative, they gave me my takehomes back, and decided to stop using urines all together for everyone in the clinic. So now they only do oral swabs. This is in Massachusetts, i don't know where you live but talk to your clinic if your still there.

I take 20mg of methadone a day and do almost every day that I work, so about 2 days a week I won't. I took my dose on Tuesday and found out I would have a mouth swab drug test the next day... I started brushing my teeth a crap ton and gargling Listerine. I even bought the special mouthwash which I used and put him in my mouth but the lady ended up talking to me for over an hour before she swabbed me and I didn't get a chance to do another swish. Does anyone know if that may be enough to pass the test? They are not prescribed to me as I got tired of taking way too many Norco and tramadol a day and metabolizing them too fast and just taking more and more. Anyways just curious as to what your guy's thoughts are? Thanks.
