Methadone 25 Mg Alternatives

I am down to 25 mgs of methadone from 120. If I go down 5 mgs a month, at what point could I convert to something else that would not be as hard to withdraw from and what should it be? I understand subutex is just as difficult to come off of. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, Methadone is actually the hardest to get off of, that's why most people who start it never fully become drug free, they end up needing a lifetime maintenance dose of the Methadone.

Subutex/Suboxone, however, do usually allow people to become drug free, by slowly tapering off of it.

The FDA warns that both these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
