Trying to get information for assistance for a Patient Assistance Program. The name of the drug is Metformin HCL 500 Mg Tablets. This is for my 84 yr old Mother. ## Metformin is on WalMart's $4 plan, which Target copys. At either place, you can get 30d for $4; at WalMart (maybe Target too, not sure) you can get 90d for $10 ## You can get it at Publix pharmacy free ## I think the advice provided by the other posters is good and you should check it out. Since this is a generic medication, there aren't regular assistance programs to help with it. Does you mother have any type of insurance coverage? The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, stomach pain, diarrhea, and hypoglycemia.

It's been 2 yrs since I experienced erectile dysfunction. Have visited a number of Dr's. For help but to no avail. One dr diagnosed with hypertension, acute cardiac condition and kidney complications. As chronic diseas treatment I take metformin, zartan Co 50/12,5 & simvascor 10 mg tablets. Could this treatment be the cause for my ed? IF YES what else is a viable in the market that can reverse the current condom? I am desperate indeed. ## Yes, the medications could be the cause of your ED, according NIH reports. You may also experience dizziness, headache, nausea, dry mouth, stomach pain, and diarrhea. As to reversing the condition, there are other medications you can try that might not cause the same side effect. Have you consulted your original prescribing doctor?

I received my metformin 500 Er pills, white elliptical, for diabetes 2. I was given 3 bottles 360 each. I opened the 3rd bottle and noted the pills are a little smaller and instead of IP 178 on the pill...it has 101 imprinted on one side and the other side is blank. What did they give me. Is it metformin 500 Er or a mistake? ## Hello, Diane! How are you? I can't find anything in the databases with this marking. Can you please double check and post back? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Metformin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, flatulence, and stomach pain.

I JUST GOT A REFILL ON MY METFORMIN. THE NEW NAME ON IT IS AMNEAL AND IT IS LIKE NOT TAKING ANYTHING AT ALL. MY SUGARS HAVE BEEN IN THE 340 RANGE. MY SUGARS HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS HIGH. I BELIEVE MY PREVIOUS BRAND NAME WAS EITHER SOLCO OR WATSON. ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT I SHOULD DO? ## Hello, Dooda! How are you doing? Has there been any change? With sugar levels that high, you need to see your doctor. If the pills from Amneal aren't working for you, you may need to switch to a different medication for awhile. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Metformin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, flatulence, stomach pain and hypoglycemia. Are you on any other medications? ## I have the same problem with Amneal Metformin...it's like I'm not taking anything at all.

I am a diabetic. My sugar level fluctuates, but when I take medicine/vitamins it comes down to about 120. However, when I drink some wine or eat snacks, etc., it jumps to 250. The issue is, when I take my medicine (metformin)/B-vitamins I get body and joint pain. Please advise a possible solution to my problem. ## Your blood sugar will always fluctuate, that is normal, there will never be a time that it hits one steady level and stays there. What you eat, what you drink, your activity levels, and your overall health will always cause it to change, according to NIH reports. The typical side effects of Metformin are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, and diarrhea. I got hairfinity and I am taking 250mg of metformin in the morning and 250 at dinner time will that hurt if I take them togeather. ## Hello, April! How are you? Before investing a lot of money into Hairfinity, you should be made aware that your hair length and growth rate are set by your genetics and there is nothing that will change that. While the proper nutrients can improve the health of your hair and make it look better, nothing can make it grow longer or faster than has been generically predetermined. That said, since it is just basically a multivitamin, there shouldn't be any issues taking it with the Metformin, unless your doctor says that you shouldn't take it. It is listed by the manufacturer as containing Vitamin A, C, Calcium, D3, B1, b2, b3, b6, Folic Acid, B12, Bio...

I'm sorry about the problem you're having. However, all medications carry the risk of causing side effects, some more serious and problematic than others. In most cases they are transient and will go away, after about a month, once your body gets used to a medication.
