Metformin Hcl 500mg Tab Side Effects

I was recently switched from Glyburid-Metformin to Metformin HCL 500 MG - I have been experiencing frequent migrane headaches (daily) and have put on over 5 lbs in 2 weeks. Also my blood sugar numbers are higher especially in the morning. Only benefit is that there have been no more low readings.

I switched back two days ago. Headaches still happening but not nearly as severe. Low sugar reading happened once.
