instead of paying 140.00 for a med....get a lozenge b6, b12, folic acid vitamin at a health food store. crack the lozenge and let it disolve under your tongue. you will be so much better off and have more money. only costs around 15.00

SO for a 3 month supply it is going to cost me roughly $200.00 for 3 vitamins! No wonder patients are unhappy with pharmaceutical companies. Besides that I understand that Metanx is a medical food which essentially is a vitamin and is not a prescription and is not approved by the FDA as a prescription. Something is a-miss here and I don't like it......especially the price.

When my podiatrist prescribed MENTANX the vendor was extremely aggressive...I hardly got home from the podiatrist and a local rep called my home AND continued to call me home. When I didn't answer or call back, THEN the national office started calling. I called them and asked them to stop calling; and they did just that.

The aggressiveness of the vendor was a REAL turn off.

Just $174.00 for 90 day supply...I have to think about it.

I was reading somewhere that the company that makes Metanx (Nestle Health Science) signed some sort of agreement with Merck and they have an exclusive form of L-methylfolate called methylfolin. From what I read, Metanx is the only formulation that has clinical trials. It seems like I could trust it. My only thing is that they say you have to take it for 90 days before you see any effects. Supposedly it prompts nerve regeneration which eliminates numbness in a lot of people. Question is do you want to pay for 90 days of this before getting any relief???

Hi, I got a quote of $170.00 for a 90 day supply, from BDH....

My podiatrist commented to me...'It's what you spend for McDonalds for a month'....

I told him I don't eat at McDonalds.

Could someone please tell me if they have Autonomic Nervous System disorder or known as ANS and what they have done to help. I am truly suffering and my foot doctor thinks this is what I have. I thank you in advance for any help.

If I get an Rx for Metanx & don't want capsules, but instead tablets, can the pharmacist exchange them? I take it for peripheral neuropathy.

Yes. It has helped me for the past 5 yrs. I am now looking to see if I can buy something in the GNC store that could be equal to Metanx as it is expensive and not really covered on my rx plan.
