Metanx Usage In Treatment For Neuropathy Due To Pernicious Anemia
UpdatedI read somewhere that Metanx should not be taken for neuropathy due to pernicious anemia. Is this correct? I now take Neurontin and sometimes Norco. These meds do not get rid of the pain, they just take the "edge" off of it. Thank you.

If you take Metanx, it may cause incorrect results on the blood work for Pernicious Anemia, which could lead someone to believe that they no longer have it. So the warning is related to that, since if your condition improves, or worsens, you may not know due to false results.

Has your doctor advised you to try Metanx?
What dose are you on of the Norco, and Neurontin?
