Do they show up on drug screen the same? ## Meperidine is just a trade name for Demerol, in pill form, so yes, it, Hydrocodone and Oxycodone are all narcotics, opiates, and they will all show up as such on a drug screen. ## mepergan fortis is a combination of meperidine (demerol) and phenergan (anti-nausea) made by wyeth as such it is not an opiate because demerol is made from piperidine which is an extract of the pepper plant but i believe it still shows up as an opiate ## demerol is most definitely an opiate.
