Memory Loss, On Saphris 15 Mg Now

I've been having serious memory trouble, like not being able to remember movies or TV that I should be able to enjoy. I recall only facts from my past with all important details gone, which is not good. All important stuff related to my field like being able to remember information contained in books is gone. Although I try to design circuits and program most days. It's my life's goal to get back to being as good as I was at the end of 2009 and reduce suffering to zero. I built robots for universities but when I took a job there was so much happening in my mind.

I think if I regain by ability to form memories or recall enough of the past with sufficient detail then there should be less suffering.

I am 29 years old, have a masters degree in computer science. I took a job in Cambridge, had insomnia 2 months after I started because I was too smart going to work for the company I was going to. After 1 month of insomnia I had a pyscotic disorder and have been basically on antipyscotics since then. I've lost the job about 1 year ago (been about 16 months since I've been at the job) but haven't noticed much of a difference.

I talked to my doctor about tapering the Ambien because people on the Internet that were taking Ambien mentioned memory problems. I feel I may be stuck around 7 mg for some time since it's been more than 2 years that I've been on it. My progress on this medication cut is mentioned on benzobuddies: benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=58644.0

I'm finally going to see specialists in Worcester in a couple of months that hopefully can solve this terribly aweful memory problem. I've been with probably an above average pysciatrist since the situation turned into a crisis in mid 2010. Also, when I switched from Seroquel to Saphris (about Feb 22, 2011), the day after the switch I had memories come back but only for 1 day.

I'm eating as much good brain food as I can during the day from the top 50 best foods for the brain listed at the Amen clinic and now using brain healthy spices to prevent alzheimer's. Also, for exercise I walk around the block usually twice (~2 miles total) and I've starting Tai Chi and Kick boxing (~1 hour, 2 times per week). I'm trying to go gentle on my hip, which I hurt after doing new Yoga exercises. I'm hoping the kick boxing exercise will help the hip heal properly and strengthen it so I can ride a bike by the end of summer or next year. Also, I would like to be able to run on the treadmill again 2 times per week 2.25 mi, at around 5 mph this winter. I am 5' 10" and 180 lbs.

So, I had an over active mind in Jan 2010 and there after. Could taking more Klonopin in place of Saphris help with recalling details from the past or forming new memories?

No, Klonopin contains the active ingredient Clonazepam, it is a Benzodiazepine and they are known to actually cause such memory problems, not help get rid of them.

Learn more Klonopin details here.

What other medications have you tried, other than the Saphris?
