Meloxicam, Safety

I take high BP medicine and also acid reflux medicine and low dose asprin everyday. My doctor presribed 7.5MG of Meloxicam for arthritis. I have had several mini-strokes that affects my speech and I also break out when I take aleve, is this safe to take?

Was it prescribed by your PCP? If so, I'd suggest not taking it, until you check with whatever other doctor you see for your strokes. It can cause blood thinning, according to the FDA, so it may be contraindicated with your other medications. It can also cause elevated blood pressure, as a side effect. It would be best to be cautious.
