Meloxicam Contraindicated If Floxed

Have been bedridden most of the time with muscle toxicity due to Levaquin! Recently have extreme pain in my left knee with great knee replacements over 20 years ago and still in good shape! Because of pain and swelling in my left knee ai was sent to ER to eliminate blood clot which was clear. Blood work shows high White Blood Cells. Sed rate and CPR indicating an infection! Sent immediately to Orthopedic Doctor. X rays look good, signs of pain, swelling, and limited mobility! He wants to wait and see and has prescribed Meloxicam , ice, and bed rest along with oxycondone. Also on metformin 500 mg 3 pills twice a day and losartin! Should I take this medicine? Articles say NSSID is contraindicated if you been floxed!

There is a warning about taking NSAIDs, such as Meloxicam, while actively taking Levaquin, since it can increase the risk of experiencing seizures, and other central nervous system problems, but I didn't find anything about taking them once you are no longer on the Levaquin.

Meloicam may also cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, dizziness, and stomach irritation.
