Meloxicam And Aleve (Top voted first)
UpdatedI'm having back pain and took a 15 mg meloxicam after having taken 3 Aleve 1 hour prior. Should I be concerned about interaction of two?

Hello, Mary! How are you?
These are both classified by the FDA as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so you shouldn't double up, you should stick with one or the other in the recommended dosage amounts and intervals.
Taking them together increases the risk of bleeding, stomach ulceration and similar conditions. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness and headache.
Is there anything else I can help with?
I was instructed by my orthopedic dr to take two Aleve in the morning and two Aleve at night. How does this compare to taking one 15 mg Meloxicam a day?
