Meloxicam 7.5

I have heard that prolonged used of Meloxicam 7.5 can cause liver problems...is this so? and how long is prolonged use?? I take this med for osteoarthritis and have had no difficulties with it over the past year.

Meloxican 7.5 MG was perscribed for me as relief for bursitis. The prescription is to be taken 1 month. After reading the 'side affects list' I am afraid to take it. What is experience others have had with this med. My bhips are not really bad with pain so should I wait til the pain is more severe before taking this med? I take Prilosec, Maxzide, Pravastatin now.
