Meloxicam 15mg 3/16/2016 To 3/16/2017

Is it ok for me to take Meloxicam 15mg after expiration (3/16/2016 to 3/16/2017)? My orthopedic Dr prescribed them for me because of severe knee and joint pain.

According to FDA reports, it doesn't become dangerous, once expired, but it may start to lose efficacy. Thus, it would be best to dispose it and obtain a new supply from your doctor.

The FDA warns that it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased of bleeding, and stomach irritation.
