Hi Vanessa,
The only side effect of Megestrol that I found relating to the menstrual cycle is, "bleeding between menstrual periods". This is listed on a drug monograph from The US National Library of Medicine at: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMHT0011066/?report=details#side_effects
I don't know when you might expect to start your cycle again, but to my understanding, anything that alters your hormone levels (such as drugs like Megestrol) could inevitably result in changes to the timing of your cycle as well, since hormones are directly related.
