Medroxypr Problem

My Dr prescribed this medication for me cause I have a thick linen around the inside of my uterus. I have to start it the 12 day of my cycle and take it for 12 days. In April I started on the 6th and it lasted like a normal period. Then after I started the pill, a few days before I stopped the pill, I started my period again. But this time my period has as of today lasted for almost two weeks. So that is two periods in one month and now it is may and I am still on my period. Is this normal, cause I am getting really frustrated right now. I am suppose to start the meds again this weekend, but if I am going to have more than one period and it last forever, I don't want to take it no more.

Medroxyprogesterone is a hormone and what you are experiencing are normal side effects of taking it.

There is really no way to say for sure how it will affect any given person and the effects may even change, as your body gets used to the medication, so you may not experience the increase in bleeding this time.

Have you spoken to your doctor about this?
