Medroxy Problem

I've been taking medroxy for 4 days and the bleeding hasn't stopped is this normal ? I have 6 days left of pills I've been bleeding on and off for 3 months now, it's been more heavier this past week. The bleeding only started when the doctor put me on birth control and now we can't seem to get it to stop

Have you stopped taking the birth control?

And as to the Medroxyprogesterone, it could take 10 days, or more for it to get the bleeding to stop….and it is only going to work if the bleeding is being caused by a lack of progesterone being produced by your body.

You may actually need estrogen, as well, to get it to stop.

What type of doctor are you seeing for this issue?
