Medicine To Get Period?

Hi I am 19 and I had my last period in April and my next cycle was supposed to be May 15th and I did not get my period. I had sex on June 8th. What can I take to start my period?

Hi shafaq,

Usually a specific kind of birth control/ oral contraceptive (containing progesterone, Ethinyl estradiol, or some other hormone) is used to regulate periods. You would have to seek a doctor in order to obtain this medication.

When you engaged in intercourse, were you protected? If not, there is a chance that you may be pregnant. If you were protected, then I wouldn't worry much. It isn't harmful to miss the menstrual cycle, as long as it doesn't happen often.

If you do speak with a doctor, you may consider asking about the medication Regestrone, which is a product of India. The reported active ingredient in Regestrone is Norethindrone; which is used to treat premenstrual syndrome, painful periods, abnormal heavy bleeding, irregular periods, menopausal syndrome (in combination with oestrogen), or to postpone a period.

Common side effects while taking this drug include:
changes in menstrual period, such as: spotting, or missed periods, light headedness, drowsiness, headaches, possible fevering, hot flashes, stomach ache, nausea, stomach pain, difficulty sleeping, weight loss or gain, and feeling weak.

Hi Im baby.. for a long period of time 2yrs.. i dont have man in my life and not activeof sex.. but last month i have sex with my friend march 26 this yr.. my period it must be on 29 but in march,until now i dont have... can u give me some medicine... i have spotting right now.. u think i can get pregnant we just do it once, is that easy to be pregnant??
