Medical Misunderstanding

Hello i have a doctors appointment tomorrow i been disabled since age 24I'm 37now iv tried everything i have DDD sciatica left hand and leg fibromyalgia 2head injuries so i was on oxycontin an oxycodone for many years then they stopped working after so many years so i heard subutex so i took a break on my own I'm no junkie iv got a clean record with doctor so i lasted a year then i go back to get put on some meds so I'm on 4 15mg oxycodone ir an that's it i atleast need a long acting to go with these for breakthrough pain and i can't seem to get them to see that now I'm like sick an in pain due to trying to better myself i thought but now it seems its only hurt me not hellped me anyone plz no what i can or need to do I'm in Virginia thanks Ken

How did your doctor's appointment go?

The only thing you can really do is be honest with your doctor about the current dosage regimen not handling your pain and then see what other options they offer to help. Many do prescribe a long acting medication to enable someone to get better pain control, so it's actually kind of odd that they've not tried you on one.

According to the FDA, this is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
