Effexor is a similar medication and is available as a generic, under the name Venlafaxine, so that's an option you could ask your doctor about trying.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and dry mouth.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?
