I am in Montrose, CO and am in need of a doctor to prescribe marinol. I am already a medical marijuana patient, but I need a script for marinol so I can travel for work. I have periphial neuropathy my feet hurt all the time nonstop. A friend talked me into trying a few(4) puffs of marijuana and it stopped the pain completely. I live in alabama so it is ilegal. Is there a medication made from it that is legal here? ## Hi Gene, You might be thinking of Cannabidiol (more commonly know as CBD). This aspect of the marijuana plant is legal across all 50 states and has been proven to be useful for pain management without the "high" that comes with THC (another component of the plant/buds). red round with UM ## oval an green with liquid in it ## there are two types of thc capsles here in vancouver that my litle sister is getting int . she says there marinol and cecemet. one isgray white cap/ the other is red/white cap. I am concerned she is taking something that she dosn't know. ## cecemet is white & red, just so you know. ANd personally I find it to be very mild. I'm a difficult case of fibromyalgia, poor treatment response since 15. I'm on a pharmacy of meds including 150mg daily oxycodone, clonipin, cymbalta, gabapentin. Ext. Well my liver diagnostics are coming back elevated. Thing is I would drop all of them in a heart beat if I found ONE thing that works. medical MJ is NOT legal in Utah. I've lost 35 pounds in 8 months or so but not enough my drs care. My top three symptoms? Pain, nausea, anxiety. Followed by exhaustion. found a soft cap brown elliptical pills with no markings in a bag outside the car of my daughters friend... any ideas what it could be? haven't been able to locate it on drug finder. ## I found 2 of these pills under my bed. I am 29 years old male, 5 ft '9, with an average weight of 123 to130 on good days. My slender frame and high metabolism I definitely received from my parents. My mother having a very petite small frame and my father being very tall and skinny and always on the thinner side helped my problems. (Not too mention I developed my body through gymnastics and ballet and swimming in adolescence along with about two years battling a hard drug addiction around 15/16yo - I feel it was a long lasting effect on my physical development in some aspects). I've tried everything! Increasing meals and higher protein, higher carbs, shakes, strength training, steroids (best resulted no side affects for me), marinol (since I'm not in the right states) to just start. I eat like a trash compared too...

Where in the world do I get Marinol in New Mexico?? Who are the Drs. letting us have Marinol in NM? ## Hi bean, Based on my research, Marinol (dronabinol) is listed as being readily available by prescription-only here in the U.S.; so I'm not completely aware why others might be having trouble even getting a script for it. From what I understand, any regular MD should be able to prescribe the stuff. On another note, medical cannabis does appear to be legal in the state of New Mexico. So if anything, it would make more sense in my opinion, to use actual plant matter, as opposed to a synthetic variation made in a lab. Have you already inquired about Marinol's availability with any doctors in your area?

It was a rude responce to looking for samples. It has been proven now that marinol is helping people with chronic pain like myself. I live in Utah and cannot get samples to at least try. I barely tread water on heavy doses of narcotics. 4 spine surgeries (failed) and 2 knee surgeries another replcement required has left me desperate to try anything that may help so I can have any kind of life. Im on work comp for two herniated discs. Doctors have me on Percocet 10 and zanaflex. Body adjusting. I also am prescribed 3mg of xanax daily along with zoloft for anxiety. Would this pill help if I were to ask? I dont want to take pills that can become habit forming like this. AndI know my tolerance is going up. Can someone please give me an honest answer. Thank you so much ## The Oxycodone in the Percocet is very strong and taking the Xanax into consideration, as well, I really doubt that the Marinol would help you much. What are the indications for the thc pill. And if a pee test can tell the difference from the smoke? ## For the most part, Dronabinol, also available under the brand name Marinol is used to treat problems such as nausea and loss of appetite in cancer and AIDs patients. And yes, since it isn't actually the same thing as what is in the natural plant, but a purified isomer, a test would be able to tell the difference. It comes up the same as if you were to smoke marijuana. Most urine test, test for just plain cannabis... So the person looking at the urine screen will not know the difference between the thc pill and/or marijuana itself....

I saw some gel caps Saturday that were very small ~ pea sized ~ they were dark brown in color and said 'WD' in white letters on it. I was told this was THC, but I find that very hard to believe. The fact that there was only one and no bottle left me wondering....... ## You were actually looking at the imprint upside down, the marking is UM and the dark brown are 5mg Marinol gelcaps and yes, that is the medication derived from THC. The pill is round brighter orange has 44 on the top and 392 on the bottom, on the same side of the pill the other side of the pill is blank .
