Which formulation?

There is a 30mg extended release, under the name brand Oxycontin, that is manufactured by Purdue.

However, there is also a regular release 30mg formulation that is available under the name brand Roxocidone and as a generic, so it is available from several different manufacturers.

What is the problem with the shortage on the 30mg oxycodones? I'm a cancer patient in desperate need of my meds and i have to suffer in pain because i can't locate 30mg oxycodones anywhere. My wife drove over a hundred miles trying to locate my medicine so i wouldn't hurt, this is rediculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is it so difficult to fill my 30 mg oxycodone for my pain due to cancer. My family had to drive 100 miles trying to locate my medicine and couldn't. Why must i suffer horrible pain because pharmacies don't have any of my meds due to the manufacturer not putting out enough.

Why is it so difficult to get oxycodone 30mg, have been taking for a while now, but these last two months no pharmacy has, and driving miles and miles tp find, and than some pharmacy deny ypu because doctor is out of area, so fustrating to be in pain and can't recieve your meds. More stress, more pain. How can this be resolved

Same problem all over, not in stock. Pharmacies have a limited supply from the manufacturer, when there should be no excuse for this horror. Also cancer, went to the same pharmacy for 30 years and stopped. The pharmacist forgot to enter the bar code in time, Dr got in trouble, when I gave her a copy of the law and you can see clearly on a print out that you get pain meds. Now this nut job said I threatened her, not to come back??? 30 years? Some loyalty huh? Anyway, Walgreens will offer you half a script, take it or leave it? W.T.F big brother is not watching. Let's take away Governor Christie's food supply, you will see something get done.
