Hello, Roach! How are you?
Well, first of all, Purbac is an antibiotic, which only works to treat bacterial infections. However, the flu is caused by a virus, so you shouldn't be taking this medication to treat your symptoms, because it isn't going to do anything……except cause those side effects that are making you feel worse.
Learn more Purbac details here.
Taking an antibiotic inappropriately creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistance bacteria, which could have serious health consequences in the future.
An antibiotic should only be taken, if your doctor has confirmed the presence of a bacterial infection and told you to take one.
And this is a sulfa based antibiotic, so it can cause flu like symptoms in some people, it seems to happen when they have a bad reaction to it, thus you need contact your doctor immediately.
Is there anything else I can help with?
