Hi there, if you have been on this pill IP109 and Norco for a number of years & it no longer is helping... instead of increasing the dose myself like alot of us do..Should I talk to my Dr about raising me up to a 7.5 or a 10mg because the Physical Therapy & Trigger Point Injections (TPI) are not helping that much and are actually causing more pain & discomfort. Thank you. Love & Light your way!!!!

Hello Denise! How are you?

Yes, it is never safe to increase the dosage on your own, additionally, if you run out early, your doctor may be afraid that you're abusing your medication, which could cause them to refuse to continue prescribing it for you.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

So yes, talking to them about the problem would be the best and smartest thing to do.

Is there anything else I can help with?
