Have paracetamol P/500 tablets been known to carry the Machupo virus?

Fake news
This virus can't survive more than 2-3 week in dry environment!!! So, it is not possible to virus survive in pcm tablets which may storage for longer duration!

Is it true that a virus by the name of machupo is present in paracetamol? News on this is being seen on all mass media. If it is not present how can a doctor prove it?

@Sati,

In line with the feedback of previous posts, I don't think the machupo virus of any real concern. Also post #3 does make an interesting point about the type of environment in which a virus like this probably wouldn't survive. If you are still seeking clarification as to the pill's safety, I would encourage you to ask your local pharmacist about performing a lab analysis on the contents of the tablet in question... Perhaps their instruments may be able to draw a definitive conclusion. One thing I do know is that in the US this isn't being discussed in the mainstream media, so I can only assume that it's "fear propaganda" of some sort going on in only a specific region... But we should always be mindful about what we put into our body regardless and if you're uncertain of something, then talking with your doctor is probably a good idea.
