Are most of them inside, or outside of the mouth? Can you please clarify?
Mouth ulcerations can occur inside your mouth, with acidic foods. They are usually called canker sores. They can be very painful, they get more aggravated with alcohol, tomatoes, orange juice, or anything else acidic, and they may be painful for several days, they can take 7 to 10 days to heal, according to NIH studies.
However, if they are outside the mouth, the FDA warns that they may be cold stores, which are caused by a herpes simplex virus, which can also erupt with irritation from acidic foods on the outside of the mouth. Other irritants may also cause them to erupt, and that can include chapped lips, and some medications.
Are you on any medications? What does your normal diet consist of?
