UpdatedI just got on Lyrica 50mg twice a day and my pain has pretty much dissapeared. I have been reading alot of really bad stories about it, but everyone seems to be taking much higher doses than i am, i was wondering if anyone knows if i stay on a low dose if i will have these horrible side effects i have read about ## Actually, the worse of the side effects should be experienced during the first month of us, they start to taper off and get less severe after that, except for in some rare cases. If you haven't had any really bad ones, so far, then you are probably doing okay with it and might only experience them if you have to increase your dosage. Also remember that medications affect different people in different ways, so you may never experience some of the problems that other people...

Info: Lyrica and Neurontin are the same drug class and share the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, blurred vision and peripheral edema. More info: To the original poster: That tablet is from a packet of birth control pills! They are sold under many different names in many different countries. Bet someone's upset they missed a pill! 1 REPLY Updatedpill white 6mm dia. numbers 54 over 760 stamped in one side opposite side has split line stamped in it. ## I found the pill marked PGN 50, to be Lyrica (50 mg). You can view a detailed description of the drug, by clicking on the link below... The other pill you have marked 54 760 is Prednisone (20 mg). Prednisone is a synthetic corticosteroid drug that is particularly effective as an immunosuppressant, and affects virtually all of the immune system. It is used to treat certain inflammatory diseases and (at higher doses) cancers, but has significant adverse effects. To learn more information about Prednisone, please follow the link below... 1 REPLY UpdatedMy husband has been on lyrica almost two years. We thought it was wonderful as it let him live without pain.I did notice he couldn't find his words more and more frequently and his eye sight was getting worse but thought it all was due to age. Then about two weeks ago he became very confused and can't find things. The doc says he has altered mental status but not alzhiemers as it happened too fast. He has not had a stroke and has had many tests which showed him to be healthy. I am sure now that it is the lyrica. How long will the side effects last, does any body know. We see the doc tomorrow. I have cut back his dose but am afraid to stop it altogether till I see the doc. This has been a horrible experience for both of us. ## While I was taking this I could not go anywhere by mysel...

1 REPLY UpdatedDoes anyone know how long before Lyrica is out of your system once you quit taking it? thnx ## From what I understand the half life of Lyrica is approx 6 hours. That means every 6 hours, the amount in your is reduced by half. For example: 6 hours ... 1/2 gone 12 hours ... 3/4 gone 18 hours ... 7/8 gone etc It is important to note, however, that stopping Lyrica abruptly if you have been taking it for awhile can cause some withdrawal symptoms. If you are concerned about a drug test then I would say you are okay. Lyrica is not a narcotic and they usually don't check for it. 1 REPLY UpdatedIs Lyrica beneficial for nerve pain? ## I just got diagnosed with torm muscles and severe nerve damage to scapula after 4 1/2 yrs of being a lab-rat, after a work related injury. The specialist put me on Lyrica only a few days ago. I not am not sure what to think of it yet as I feel like I am floating in mid-air and feel like I have a permanent huge hangover. It has been impossible for me to concentrate on anything, including conversations. Although I have more energy, I feel like I am forcing myself to stay awake. This is the worse feeling I have ever had, especially when my pain level has not decreased. This is the strongest and I must say strangest medication I have ever had, I hope they find an alternative for me. ## Lyrica contains the active ingredient Pregabalin. This is an antic...
