Lyrica,please Help

My husband Tim was prescribed this drug for shoulder pain.With in a couple of days he was having chest pains and he had trouble standing straight.The chest pains got worse and he was admitted to hosp.He was in Intensive care and High Dependency and he had blood clots in his lungs..It was also found eventually that his problem in standing straight was due to head drop syndrome and all this happened after taking Lyrica,im so desperate to talk with others who have had this reaction..

Can u tell me how long he has been on the lyrica and what symptoms he started having? i have been on it for 2 yrs

My husband was on it for a couple of days then had to double the dose and within a couple of hours he had breathing problems and i had to call emergency and he was admitted.The Doctors say it is NOT Pregabalin that has caused it but it is as he had been a firefighter for 20 years with no history of a bad back or neck or head.He has had to have extensive surgery with metal rods holing his neck and body up the rods go from his neck to just above his waist and we are now fighting for justice as we know it is this drug and it must be looked into as it has taken my husbands will to live
