Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 27)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

Send all info to xxxxx@xxx {edited for privacy}, but do not call BECAUSE I CANNOT HEAR ON THE PHONE. Yes, it is that bad!!!! I made my living on the phone and now I am deaf, blind and penniless too. I had great vision and could hear a pin drop, but not now… I AM DEAF AND BLIND, - THANKS TO LYRICA!

I have wondered if Lyrica has caused anyone else problems, but i see it is destroying lives everywhere - like it did mine, I took Lyrica for only 2 months and I noticed loss of hearing and vision problems... like I could not hear my loud deep voice of my husband and then cars looked like 'Fuzz balls'. I did not know what was causing these upsetting reactions until my husband read a National Geographic Magazine article about Lyrica at the doctor’s office. I copied it and showed the doctor the article and he just waved it away with no interest. I stopped taking Lyrica that day… but the DAMAGE IS DONE since 2007.
Now that was what happened to me and even after I stopped taking Lyrica … the day my husband read the article … my hearing and my vision has not improved from Lyrica’s damaging effects.

DO NOT TAKE Lyrica...

THERE ARE NATURAL WAYS TO HELP YOURSELF with many diseases. I am 73 and I am FREE OF FIBRO…. But Lyrica destroyed MY HEARING and MY VISION and I want to join any group who is suing the Lyrica Company.

I had Fibro, but I do not have it now... I will share my success with everyone. I do not sell it but it works!

Delta.. I.would like to know what you do to treat your Fibro. I have MS and have discovered that alot of treatments for these two diseases are the same.

Hi Delta , my son attends expensive Nyotherapy treatment for Fibromyalgia , he is only 19 years of age and has had the pain since a car accident when he was just 12 , the Myotherapy wprks well but if you have a better idea would beg to hear from you , my E mail address is xxxxx@xxx {edited for privacy} , thank you .

Sorry to hear about your son being in an accident. That is how my Fibromyalgia started too and I had it for over 11 years, [from 9/1989 to 11/2000] but I am now FIBRO-FREE... thanks to some great natural supplements that I love to share with everyone... I called the FDA. They have a downloadable form on the computer. They have a number of phone # you can try. Maybe they can help if there are any violations to the law.

To file a report with the FDA - Reporting serious problems to FDA - fill out voluntary form 3500 online. I sent an email to FDA and reported my complaints and they emailed me back telling me how sorry they were I had so many issues and they said to file a complaint by filling out the form and emailing it back. They said it was FDA Medwatch reporting serious problems to FDA.

The FDA told me I can just fill out the form and email it to them. I posted the form. They did say the Drs can prescribe lyrica for anything or anyone they want to since it was approved by the FDA. What I don't understand is when I researched lyrica on the FDA site it said the Drs have to monitor patients every couple of weeks and should start at low dosages until they know how it affects the brain of the patients. The FDA states how dangerous a drug it is but the dr who prescribed me did not monitor me and he didn't know the problems I was having were from lyica. The top neuros I saw didn't know of the possible side effects. But the FDA has posted almost every single horrible side effect everyone here has and is suffering from. The FDA also does state that the patient should stop taking the drug if any sign of the nasty side effects.
I had mri's of my brain, cat scans, eeg's, ekg's,endless testing on my eyes, was in and out of the hospital,and put in for monitoring of my brain in the seizure wing and almost had 2 surgeries on my wrist. I am angry because the doctors prescribing this drug that alters they way your brain works pass it out like aspirin and they are either not aware of the possible dangers or they just don't care. How many of you actually had a Dr. that knew what was happening to you and didn't tell you that you were crazy ?

I don't think Doctors are aware of what is happening to people on Lyrica. I sent this web site to my doctor and later that day he responded and he agreed thats its better for me to go off it. Make your doctors aware of this site.

Back in 2007, I had to declare bankruptcy, besides losing my job @ the hospital as a respiratory therapist where I had worked for29 years because of lyrica and it's side effects. The morgage company we had doubled our monthly payments to almost $2000.00/ month. Needless to say we lost our home through foreclosure. I don't remember the name of the company anymore but they did a lot of advertizing on TV. They were a large company. What I am trying to say is this. If the FDA cannot or will not help us there may be another way. It appeared that this company, in their fine print and thirty od pages we signed had buried a few shady things. They were found out. Every state general attorney, in all fifty states, including the federal state attorney took this large company to court and sued the pants off them. They went bankrupt and everyone who had a morgage with them and lost their home received a part of the settlement. It wasn't. Much, but we all had the satisfaction of seeing this bank company. close their doors forever. Maybe with lyrica we must do the same. Contact all the state general attornies in all fifty states, including the federal general attorney to investigate lyrica, pheizer, and the FDA included. Find the bribes, kick backs and whatever other monies were spent to get something done,especially since the FDA knew about these side effects and did nothing. They pulled a drug, darvocetand its cousins off the market with only some bad side effects, but not like lyrica. I said it before lyrica should be treated like coke or heroin, a class one drug andPULLED OFF THE MARKET. It may be the only satisfaction we can get butmaybe we can @ least save some one's life,which in the long run is more iportant. It would be nice to be compensated for the pain and suffering we had to go through. But a life is more valuable than all the gold in the world. Prays to you all.

just phone the lawyers association they will hook you up with a lawyer they think you need for your case.

I am experiencing severe memory loss and uncontrolable hard twitches I tried to quit but the withdrawals are severely unbearable! Deep depression, pain, diariah and suicidal feeling just hopeless... I am a grown man but after taking lyrica for about 2 years I am desperately needing help so I need some representation whn the lawsuit starts and with this terrible condition caused by lyrica can't keep taking them and can't quit HELP! :(( Curtis S.

When I found a Dr that told me I had to stop taking lyrica I was told to ween myself off of it slowly. Do not stop taking it cold turkey. By that time I was suicidal and twitching uncontrollably and couldn't see or talk and had sleep paralysis everytime I sat still. I went to a neuropyschologist suicidal and he told me I was crazy he yelled in my face for an hour saying I was faking all of it to get attention I left there ready to give up thank god I had someone waiting to drive me home since I couldn't drive anymore because of my eyesight. You are not crazy Lyrica's purpose is to change how your brain works and unfortunately it is not for the better. Gradually stop taking it until you are not having withdrawal symptoms. I took it for 2 yrs also and was completely off of it in under a month and it does get better your mind will get clearer you're not crazy. Gradually stop taking it since it is addictive. Good luck

Let me tell you all, I have been on Lyrica and was on 1200 mg. a day. These so called pain management doctors wonder why we are such a mess. I stopped the drug cold turkey, I had no twitching, or any difficulties except for excessive sweating and still do. It probaly ruined me in that way. Also, it is deadly and if your toxic like I was your in big trouble. I am doubled upp cripled in a wheel chair now and I have no difference in my condition of stopping the lyrica. My condition never got better and just worsened. We need justice and not being treated like mice and experimenting with us.

Your right. It doesn't help the medical problems tour having it just makes you suicidal and have so many other problems that you are diagnosed as crazy andthat you are just making it up. It changes your brain and doesn't actually help your condition at all.

yep, I even had a 5 page report mailed to me telling me how crazy I was! So, I got to re-live the abuse I received from a top neuro-psycologist all over again.That alone should be malpractice. Since I already was suicidal and thought I was going crazy and he attempted to push me over the edge.

That's what the Dr.s are using to cover their butts. They try to convince everyone that your crazy instead of admitting the real problems are stemming from the use of the lyrics. If you are crazy you don't have a case against the drug company or the doctor. And he still can get all of the kick backs from the drug companies. If the doctors acted in the best interest of their patients they would stand up and tell the FDA what this drug is doing to everyone. Then it would be just the word of some "crazy" patients.
