Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 25)

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

I am a long-termer on Lyrica as well, I have had deteriorization happen to me including breaking of bones. The drug Lyricia is a killer.

Is there any lawyer out there some where who will take on pfeizer pharmaceticals, excuse spelling, the maker of lyrica? Is there some way of advertizing for one? Are we doing anything except trade horror stories?My story is minor compared to most oof yours, however there has got to be some thing we can. Maybe a lawyer from another country, who is licensed to practice in the united states. We need some fresh ideas before too many people start dying from lyrica.

A law suit should be filed for just their wording of Lyrica and its side effects, They should not label them in categories under Common effects, rare effect, Severe effects because as I read all these stories of people going though the same things as me, We all fall under the severe category, so the label in general should have only one category for the effects. They don't seem to even worn people that, all these symptom come on over a duration of time used, they creep and sneak up on you but you don't realize that your Lyrica is to blame because by know you cant speech or think straight or your to depressed to care. half your symptoms cause you to loose hair and teeth, then muscle, and weight gain ,rashes, numbness, your tired and weak ,fatigued, these are the real common symptoms and should be labeled as such. I got 50% of my I sight back and do not see these annoying little shadows flying past me any more, My Lyrica induced dyslectics are better now, but the itching doesn't stop! My bruising has stopped. All of us should find a way to sign a petition to stop this horrid drug! I rather feel my pain than to be in this hell of withdrawals its been a week and its still not out of my system. Its horrid!

I have been off it for five and a half years and still suffer from memory loss, especially short term loss. Also I sometimes have problems concentrating on things and retaining memory of them. I have gone back to college to learn to be a medical secretary and I seem to be having problems learning to type. My brain tells my fingers where to go but the fingers go else where. I think a my fiinger goes to the semi colon. It is like the one side of my brain is not communicating with the other side. But tthat is minor compared to what some have gone thru. When I was on lyrica they told me to watch out for side effects. But what do you do if you do not notice them. My family said I used to sit in a chair @ the table and just fall off and I could not get up without their help. I do not remember any of that happening and I still do not recall it. I would be crawling on the floor to go to the bathroom, they said. I do not recall these episodes. Lyrica cost me my job. They thought I was drunk because my speech was slurred, I had a staggering gait, and would ask the same question several times in a minute because I could not remember the answer. The place I worked for was a hospital. I had worked there 29 years. They even demanded a blood alcohol test which came back negative. I even forgot how to drive my car. Some things ae coming back but it is a slow process. I pray for all those people out thete who are on lyrica. I hope their memory does not get too bad wherre they might hury othets or themselves or dioe because of the suicidal effects lyrica causes in some people. But I said it before, maybe people have to die first before anything is done, but tat is a horrible reason to get a drug off the market. I wish they had commercials on tv to warn all people on this drug to be very very careful. But all you see are the commercials promoting this vile drug. Luck to you all who still suffer because of lyrica.

I am looking for one also. I reported Pfizer and Dr Hadi to the Va medical board for almost killing me and trying to hide it. The next day they twisted words in my report to have me arrested and charged with a felony. Apparently they think they have bought and sold the entire justice system and are agressively engaged in intimidating and bullying victims into silence.

In one of the previous blogs, someone ststed that pfeiizet spent millions of dollars to buy certain people off. Thesr were the ones we could have usdd. They have a large lobbiest group to take care of congress annd they probably have the FDA in their pocket too. Lawyers were paid off also. Maybe the FDA could help with lyrica but I do not know if they were paid off. I persoally think they either faked the reports about the side effects, picked out only the ones that would pass scrutiny, or covered up the bad onres. It has been done before on other drugs. Then when they get their money back on lyrica, with a sizable profit, they will admit it is a bad drug, pull it off the market and leave us fluttering in the wind with no one to help us. Some of us will still be suffering the side effects for years to come, maybe forever and some may have died from the suicidal side effects; but who cares. They will have made millions of dollars, kept their investors happy, and just go on to the next damaging or killing drug and keep on making money off our's or someone elses misery. :'(

Seems obvious to anyone paying attention that is correct Mary. Clearly US citizens no longer have any legal protections or rights to even sue for rightful damages. I truly fail to see any difference between these conscienceless subhuman animals and terrorists, other than how many zeros are on their individual bank account balances. Killing and harming US citizens for money or for any idealogical reason is by defitnition terrorism. So why isn't HSD or the FBI stepping in to clean up the real crime? Or are they too busy chasing down people with unpaid parking tickets to care? Also, lots of people have died from Lyrica after developing erythrema multiforme type reactions, gone blind, or from racing hearts that blew up. Currently they are bribing everyone in sight to avoid being held accountable.

My son has not had a dose of Lyrica for 2 years and 2 months and his memory and concentration have not returned to pre Lyrica levels , this drug has destroyed a brillient and promesing student , a tragic end to a young mans accademic ambitions , a life of torment and unfullfilled potential . , what an evil drug Lyrica is , a vile nuro toxin .

There probably have been many people paid off but it seems to me like there are so many of us suffering that there would not be a shortage of people to file against them. I don't believe this will get a lawyers attention until one of them or someone they are close to have been prescribed this drug and experienced these horrible side effects. Money talks. Lawyers are money hungry and as long as they are not directly affected they can be paid off.

I think the more we share our stories and the more the word gets around , the more others will come forward and its Numbers that the FDA will hear. For all the people that write in, there is an equal to more people that have not written. It took me to get off the Lyrica and read what others have been though before I wrote in. I attempted to write but when I tried ," because of the Lyrica" I could not spell even with spell check? I would start to write then forget what I was going to write. So I know for myself it took getting angry over all my symptoms and finely quitting the Lyrica before I could write at all . We really need to make the families of the Lyrica useers aware of this site so they can understand that the symptoms their loved ones are going through is caused by the Lyrica and its doing them more harm than good. Lyrica may be a quick fix to horrific pain but staying on it, is causing more damage to your nerves. I was told by a surgeon after my 4th surgery that your body will rid itself of dead things, it will calcify and eventually desolve. Lyrica not only stops the pain signal to the larger nerves but also to every nerve in your body. I have nerve damage where half my foot was numb, the lyrica caused my whole foot to be numb to where I was falling down. I know that when I stopped the lyrica I was and still am itchy, I can feel why, Its all the small cells slowly getting the signal back from the brain and are waking up. It feels like tiny pin points of electricity. I hate the itch but am happy that those nerves are not permanently numb like other people got. Its the family of Lyrica users that need to be aware of the side effects because once on the Lyrica you seem to become unable to figure this stuff out for yourself. Carolyn from Ma.

Trouble with Lyrica is you dont have to be on it for nine years to suffer permanent damage , , as little as a couple of weeks is long enough for some people ..

I was using it for eight months. What was easy as a simple aptitude test became utter hell. Reading over and over and over again the questions, and simple columns of adding numbers was hell.

Lots of victims all with one need, a lawyer who can get justice for us and will share the booty with us this time around.

I have been on this site before and have listed the many, many problems I have had with this drug. I have been off Lyrica for 2 years and still have problems...some of which all of you seem to be having. What I am now wondering is if there are more people out there using gambapenten, which is a generic form of Lyrica. I can't begin to tell you all the symptoms and all the time my doctor denied any problems coming from Lyrica. Eyesight, numb limbs and digits, memory problems, concentration problems, the inability to follow a thought process through to the eventual end.....and on and on and on. I pray someday something will be done because every day there are more and more people going into both the taking of this drug and the resulting problems definitely associated with ingesting what I consider to be poison.

I called a lawyer, who looked around for other lawyers . None will touch it. Must we go to another country for a lawyer who will take them on and is allowed to practice law in this country?

I have a 10 page report from a neuro-pysch after going through hell with several types of neuro Drs. I had sleep paralysis,twitching, severe vision problems,severe speech problems,electric shocks in nerves,couldn't think at all,had no feeling during urination, suicidal.But to top it off the neuro-pysch had me come in for an appt. after months and months of visits begging for someone to tell me what was wrong with me - the dr. asked my boyfriend to leave the room and proceeded to yell at me, belittle me, and tell me that
I created all of these symptoms in my head because I wanted to be this way. I was put on Lyrica after a severe thoracic spinal injury with cord damage. But his answer was I wanted attention and I made it all up. I left
his office without any hope of ever getting rid of any of the side effects and on top of the spinal injury it was too much for me I was ready to give up I was suicidal. I survived crushing my spine and anterior and posterior reconstructive thoracic surgery with 9 units of blood and constant debilitative pain to be done in by Lyrica. I saw at least 4 Jefferson Neuros Phila. and not one of them mentioned Lyrica. I do have it all documented

Renee , I to had all the severe side effects from the Lyrica. Doctors don't want to get overwhelmed with our symptoms and rather treat each symptom separately. I realized all my symptoms had got worse when my Lyrica dose was raised. What made me suspect the lyrica was that one morning I woke up with bad bruises and got angry. I informed my doctor of the side effect of Lyrica and asked that he look at my records of complaints over the years and I stopped taking it. My Doctor agreed stopping it was for the best. You should give a copy of this website to your Doctor. Its been over a week and I am still itchy and sick from the withdrawals from this crap. I FEEL LIKE i WAS A TEST RAT FOR THIS DRUG COMPANY, ITS NOT RIGHT! GOOD LUCK RENEE

T was on lyrica aout a month and a half I do not remember the starting or ending dose. I was told to sloly increase doasge until my arthritic pain went away with the doctor checking mme about every two weeks. I really do not remember. Things got pretty hazy. Ii could have been on it longer. I just do not know. I can not remember. I still have memory problems. I am currently learning keyboard skills. My brain knows where the keys are but the info seems to be not communicating to my fingers. Never had that problem before lyrica. I got off cold turkey. Kept a phone nearby, just in case. Luckily no problems. I have been off it six years now, but still have memory, concentration, and some coordination problems. I consider myself lucky compared to what some of you have experianced.

Thanks Mary , you did not mentioned the dose . My son was on Lyrica for a total of around six months and was under the age of eighteen so should not have even been prescribed it at all by Dr Terence Lim . If you have had all that trouble from only being on Lyrica for 1.5 months then i hate to think of the level of damage it has caused on my sons developing adolecent brain after six months of that vile drug , my son still complains daily that he just wonts his life back ., i cannot believe there is no compensation for what Lyrica has done to peoples lives , surely sooner or later some thing has to happen .
