I had some weight gain, like 10 to 15 pounds. What really bothers me, is after using this product I have been diagnosed with a Fatty Liver... I don't drink and I had no problems before using Lyrica. I am very concerned Lyraca causes weight gain in the liver too! ## Well, a fatty liver is NOT weight gain in the liver. It is a far more serious condition. It can develop into Cirrhosis, which is far, far more dangerous and can lead to liver failure or death. I have been on lyrica from the very beginning of release 12-01-05. I have major side effects taking 900mg a day, now having teeth loss. Has anyone else been having this problem? I am the patient of a pain management physician because there is nothing else that can be done for my back other thantry to manage my pain. I have had 19 back surgeries, including rods, broken back and rods on right side. My last surgery was the insertion of two morphine pain pumps, which caused my body to reject the plastic or some component thereof. They also inserted two dual-lead dorsal column stimulators, and even though all four of these pumps worked successfully, my body also rejected come component in the stimulators as well. I have been on Lyrica for about 8 months now and I am having fantastic results. My dr is trying to increase my dosage and I have been doing it in 50 mg increments. I am up 100 more now in a month, for a total dosage of 400mg. I find that I have very bad recall and loss of my vocabulary during conversation. It eventually goes away, but I was wondering if anyone else has this? If it keeps up, I just may have to drop back down 50mg until I get used to it? That seemed to work that last time I had to raise it.BTW, I have nerve pain in my ribcage. I took 800mg of lyrica on a sunday. Then I had a drug test that Monday morning and it came back that I failed for suboxone! For pete's sake can anyone tell me why this happened?? Does anyone know if lyrica and suboxone have any charteristics?? I'm in so much trouble. Hi all. I've been taking 300mg of lyrica for 7 mo. which has been a miracle for my spine nerve damage however I have become completely stupid (no memory) and have developed neurovascular eye disease. Anyone else have this? Sorry for the post not being very clear lol as I said I'm brain dead! I almost forgot to mention the rash. I've developed a rash on my right calf only. I've been to a lot of drs an all my blood work has been normal. I KNOW it's the Lyrica. I can't stop though. When I stopped taking it I was literally bedridden. The Lyrica helps so much with the pain that I've decided the side effects are worth it, at least I can function, even if I do go around in circles most of the time. I have been prescribed Lyrica for over 4 years. Before this I had near perfect teeth - save for a few cavities. After about a year of taking the highest dose 3x my teeth started to get "brittle" and would simply break off while eatingor simply fall out sometimes. I am on 15mg of methadone and just got a prescription for Lyrica 75mg. This drug is dangerous, deadly, and should be pulled from the market. Amomg all the usual issues, today i noticed a new one had been added. Does anyone know the status of the lyrica lawsuits? ## Looking for a Very Smart Attorney to put two and two together.....It's all there, but the Attorney's only concern now is for suicide victims and birth defect victims and the stockholders legal lawsuit is 2.3 BILLION. Does lyrica/ pregabalina have sulfur in it ## Hi Lady D, Based on my research, certain manufacturers of Lyrica (pregabalin) do put in a substance called "sodium lauryl sulfate"; which can bring about an allergic reaction in those with sulfa allergies. That said, your best bet would probably be to inform your doctor and/or pharmacist about this allergy, so they can make sure they give you the proper form of Lyrica. I have been on Lyrica for one year. The dosage has slowly been increased. I am now taking 100mg am and 200mg pm. I have experience the common side effects of relating to brain functioning. I have also had an obvious increase in facial hair (I am female). I took Lyrica for about 6 weeks & noticed it caused incontinence or urine leakage. I stopped it & the sx subsided. I now restarted it as the pain was unbearable. It works wonders for the pain if you can endure the side effects. I take a drug test for my pain doctor. I do NOT use any other meds other than what's subscribed by my pain Dr. The last test test showed up with neurontin in my urine. Can I stop taking lyrica if I only had two capsules at 25mg strength each . I only had this one doze but I really don't want to use it for pain management any more Doing physio at the moment and that is helping me recover from lower back pain ## There shouldn't be a problem, if you've only taken a couple capsules, but it is always best to double check with your doctor. Have been on Lyrica since April 09 - developed incontinence, pain in right knee constant, can't talk straight - words get mixed up - can't comprehend reading material or remember the simplest of things or tasks - was fired from my job-- miracle for my pain though - Doc says side effects will go away - has anyone experienced long term memory confusion? I just started taking Lyrica. First, I was told by my doctor to take 75 mg for 3 evenings, and then I was to increase the dosage on the 4th day. I was to take another 75 mg in the a, so I would be up to 150 mg. The problem is that I woke up during the night after the 4th day, 3 times with a zapping sensation. It felt like my chest area. I decided to stop taking it, and I called my doctor and he wants me to continue with it. He said to take the 75 mg for a week, and then increase it again. He wants to give it a chance. I found out about Lyrica after 6 months of the soles of my feet felt like thick Elephant pads and painfull.The sharp needles and pins prickling night and day.The bottom of my feet and toes burned to the point of turning red. I tried Benfotiamine..no help. I tried Novacaine I bought through a Canadian pharmacy...no help. I found one thing that would help some.Sitting with your feet up and a wet wash cloth draped over the feet and havin a ceiling fan blowing on them. At night I would wet the wash cloths ,fold into a triangle. fold tightly around the feet and pin on with a large safety pin. I stuck my feet out from under the covers.
