Hi Linda,
Lyrica was first approved for the treatment of Neuropathic Pain, on December 31, 2004 by a company called Pfizer Inc.
There is a big thread on this site regarding Lyrics lawsuits. I think you will be able to find more information centered around the safety of Lyrica there, based on other peoples reviews:
