Lupaneta Injections
UpdatedI recently had surgery in January and found out I had stage 4 endometriosis. The doctor put me on monthly injections of lupaneta to get me through to my next surgery which will be a full hysterectomy. My question - has anyone else experienced the feeling of your extremities feeling like they're weighed down by bricks. I'm on my 3rd injection and with each one so far I feel absolutely drained, loss of mental clarity and the feeling that it takes all my strength just to pick up my arms and legs or even walk. Towards the end of my monthly injection, I have a few days of clarity, energy and strength. Then I get the next injection and it's like the vicious cycle starts over again. I never thought I'd say "I'm so ready for surgery" but I'm actually ready to get it over with. How long does it take for this horribleness to get out of your system? I can't even remember what it feels like to feel normal anymore. Its horrible.

Lupaneta does have an effect on your hormones, so the issues you've experienced can be normal side effects of it.
You will likely still experience such symptoms, for awhile, after your hysterectomy, since that will also alter the levels of hormones in your body. A hysterectomy tends to induce menopause and it's accompanying issues. The government women's health site has more information on this surgery.
How are you feeling?
