The marking is actually intended to be MP (the letters run into each other as the manufacturers logo) 423 and this tablet contains 600mgs of controlled release Guaifenesin, the active ingredient in Mucinex, this is a generic or store brand. It is used to help relieve congestion.
Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and chapped lips.
