Losers Making It Hard For People Who Actually Need Oxi's For Pain To Function In Life

I am having such a hard time filling my oxi 15 script. Shame on all the low lifes getting scripts and selling them and making this a way of life. I need my medicine to be able to get out of bed to actually work. To all the low lifes making it impossible to get scripts filled may god take your health to know the pain me and others live with and still manage to work.

Hi keri,

Sorry to hear about the challenges you're having trying to fill that script. As much as I agree with you about 'abusers' making it harder for legitimate people to fill their scripts, I do think a lot of it also has to do with the DEA's protocols that are in place right now. For each and every pharmacy who wishes to dispense oxycodone, the DEA is the one monitoring & controlling every move they make. After Walgreen's recent $80 million dollar settlement with them (regarding the over-dispensing of oxycodone), I wouldn't be surprised if other pharmacies are scared to even say that they have it stock.

"As part of the settlement, the license of a Florida facility used by Walgreen to distribute controlled drugs was revoked for two years.
D.E.A. officials said that many of the drugs dispensed at the facility made their way to the black market, including oxycodone, a strong narcotic that is also the active ingredient in OxyContin."

I hope this helps shed some light on why many pharmacies across the nation may be more reluctant to hand out these types of medications.
