Losartan Tab 100mg

I was taking Benicar tab 40mg my pharmacist sent me Losartan tab 100mg. Is that the equivalent or could this be a mistake?

No, it is not the same medication.

Benicar contains Olmesartan, so the Losartan is in the same class, but it is a different drug.

Have you contacted them about it?

Since they are in the same class, they work the same way, but such a switch shouldn't be made, without your doctors approval.
