Losartan Medication Change
UpdatedI was taking Losartan / HCT tab 100-12.5 for high blood pressure. I asked for a refill and was sent Losartan tab 100mg. What is the difference? No HCT AND 12.5? Is it OK that I take this? Thank you for your help.

You still need to take it, unless your doctor instructs you not to, because stopping these types of medications abruptly can result in a dangerous rebound effect that can include severely elevated blood pressure and heart rate.
However, you do need to contact your doctor and the pharmacy, because if they provided you one with the 12.5mgs of Hydrochlorothiazide, then they gave you the wrong medication.

Have you contacted the pharmacy, yet?
