Losaran Hctz Vs. Diovan Hct

Does Losartan hctz tab 100-25 mg equal Diovan HCT 320-12.5 tab. I am concerned about the difference in milligrams. I recently started the Losartan.

It's usually about 100mgs of the Losartan to equal each 160mg of the Valsartan in the Diovan, but your HCTZ (Hydrochlorothiazide) has been raised from 12.5 to 25, so that dose has been doubled.

It's really a matter of trying it and seeing how it works for you. If it doesn't work, then you may require a dosage adjustment.
