Did you ask the prescribing doctor, or pharmacist?
How often is the dosing schedule?
It does contain a narcotic, Hydrocodone, so you do have to be cautious using it in children and really have to base it on various factors, such as why it's prescribed, the severity of the condition, their body weight and etc.
