Lopez (Lorazepam) has a number of side effects that could increase your chances of weight gain.

Below is a list of common side effects associated with this medication:

drowsiness
dizziness
tiredness
weakness
dry mouth
diarrhea
nausea
changes in appetite
restlessness or excitement
constipation
difficulty urinating
frequent urination
blurred vision
changes in sex drive or ability

Theoretically speaking, it's easy to see how one can gain pounds just from having a side effect like constipation for a number of weeks, or changes in appetite, along with tiredness or weakness. A combination of these would be dreadful in my opinion.
