I went to 13 pharmacies in La to fill my prescription and every pharmacy told me they were back ordered and a couple told me they dont carry it because they have been robbed. Ive never had trouble filling it where I live in the Bay Area but I'm down here for the month. I will run out of medicine tomorrow, does anyone know regular pharmacies anywhere near la who usually stock this.

I am a patient at a Florida V.A. Clinic. I recently had to go to the pain clinic for a review of my pain meds. The 'doctor' at the pain clinic from where I have been getting ALL of my meds since 2005 decided to taper me off all the narcotic pain meds. I have a paper directly from the V.A. in DC where they are bragging about completely taking 79,999 vets off all opiates and another 80,000 are being tapered off like me.
The doctor at the pain clinic is an Anesthesiologist who specializes in keeping patients alive after putting them to sleep for surgery. He has no interest in treating patients for pain but is little more than a "hatchet man" like when one company buys out another and lays off many workers to reduce costs.
The "pain clinic" doctor isn't there to help the vets but to take everyone possible off any and all opiates.
Two years ago the same clinic but different doctor wanted to put me on Fentanyl because the opiates weren't strong enough. It is quite obvious that someone from high up is pushing their own agenda.

it's still next toimpossible to get a prescription filled in the nyc/northern jersey filled. But I have found out that some target stores will do it. But usually anything over 90 pills is generally a red flag for them. Plus most pharmacies are very reluctant to accept any new customers. So if you do find one, you better stick with them.

I've been on pain Mgt for over 14 years now and I have yet to have a Pharmacy that would even talk to me unless I had the prescription in hand, so asking them to order the meds could only be done when I was there with script in hand and since I get 30 day supply (as all who are on PM) I'd have to wait 5 to 14 days but by that time, I'd be in jeopardy of dying from withdrawal because of my overall heath issues!

"...the new obamacare program guidelines" Do NOT blame increased restrictions on opiates on "Obamacare." Blame the people who are getting multiple scripts from unscrupulous doctors and getting them all filled then selling them! I know of one family where all three members get Oxy and Adderall--three scripts each, sell each tablet for $7-$10 apiece and make $6,000 a month..tax free under the table. They just broke up a narc ring in GA where they found 150,000 oxy tablets. So "thank" the jerks--both pill mill docs and patients who are gaming the system...thus making it impossible for legitimate patients. Alabama and Georgia are two of the worst pill mills. Then in NYC back in 2010 when I was there a guy held up a pharmacy for its oxy, then AFTER getting the oxy gunned down the pharmacists and customers--shotgun..killed them all. I wish they would just legalize all scheduled drugs and put them in "package" stores where liquor is sold.
BTW CVS pharmacies in West GA do NOT carry oxy immediate release...but family owned pharmacies such as Turner Pharmacy in Carrollton, GA do carry all types of opiates. If Turner does not have the number you need they WILL get it in and you can pick it up the rest later. For example if you need 60 Oxycontin 20 mg and they only have 32..they will give you the 32 and will have the 28 the next day and you can go back and pick it up. Most chain pharmacies won't let you do that. I have never seen a better pharmacy than this family owned RX. They work hard to get any med you need. They get named #1 pharmacy in West Georgia EVERY year!

Try Sam's Club. U dont need a membership. I never have a hard time getting over a 120+ Percocets AND 50 mcg Fentanyl patches filled there, practically every 2 wks even. Thats the combo Im on for 4 herniated discs in my neck, degenerating disc disease in both my cervical spine AND lower lumbar, AAAND fibromialgia. The best thing to do is getting an extended release pain med cuz I was simply tired of counting & snacking on pills all day. Hope this helps. Good luck & God Bless!

I live in broward county south Florida and lucky I was told the turth why no one out of the 14 pharmacies had the 30mg oxycodone; at the end of the year the DEA wants the records of who, how much, where oxycodone was filled and that single pharmacies can't order it that it's all (controlled by DEA telling manufacturers who, how much and where they can send it) and so until they finish the records review Its not going to be found anywhere unless a pharm as it left over in stock. :(
So my suggestion if you are like me suffering from chronic pain ask your doctor for 10mg,15mg or even loratab to get though until the DEA finishes their harassment on pharmacies.
I am all suffering cant get out of bed do the pain and chronic diarrhea.
Thanks DEA I really dont get why they mess with us patients who suffer daily.

I only use them in a emergency like my pharmacy being out but here in Tulsa seems like all 11 Wal Mart pharmacies always has the 30mg in stock. If that store is out they will look on there computer to find a WalMart that has some. Usually, if you are not trying to get more than 150 pills they have no problems filling it as long as you got ID and a hour and a half to waste due to their slowness.
