Looking For A Doctor That Prescribes Methadone

I want a medication that gives me everything I need to stay off opiates. I want to quit.

You will need to go to a Methadone clinic, private practice doctors aren't allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment.

Are there any clinics in your area?

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

She needs to go to AA/NA meetings, treating one drug with another "legal" drug is not the answer.

Hi Laura. I am in a similar situation..and wonder if u ended up getting the help u needed..or info u needed..and wondered if u can help me out?..lmk, thx.. I appreciate any feedback..its been really hard for me..I recently moved out to Maine..and have been looking for a doctor to prescribe methadone, suboxone or subutex..something to help, but am running into dead ends..partly cuz i have no insurance..if u could help i would really appreciate it..if not anybody else. Thx again
