Looking For A Doctor In Louisiana That Prescribes Methadone

I need a doctor in Louisiana that prescribes methadone or a pain management doctor that accepts only medicaid or cash.

Hello my name is chuck looking for a new pain management doc in Louisiana I had broke my back in three places an all my disks from l2 to l5 s1 is all gone an my hole lumbar is fussed with titanium steel an the only thing that gives me any quality of life is methadone. Thanks for the help

dr. michael dole in alexandria louisiana prescribes methadone. the accepts medicare, cash and other insurance but no medicaid.

dr. michael dole, pain management clinic in alexandria louisiana prescribes methadone. there is a methadone clinic in alexandria louisiana too. hope this helps. u have to pay cash at the methadone clinic. dole accepts medicare and cash, plus other insurances-no medicaid is accepted.

kk, if you go to a Methadone Clinic, you won't be able to find a dr that will treat your pain because you will have a history of treatment for addiction to opiates. When the Methadone Clinic finds out that you are a chronic pain patient and not an addict, they won't treat you either.

Lynn, this thread is for doctors in Louisiana that prescribe Methadone. You might get more accurate replies if you post a new discussion and put doctors in Mississippi that prescribe Methadone as the title. No one can say of a dr will or won't prescribe you Methadone. You will need a copy of your medical records from you current or previous dr, although that does not mean that another dr will prescribe you Methadone. Very, very few, if any, drs will prescribe Methadone to a patient that they are seeing for the first time. If you need the Methadone for chronic pain, have you called your insurance company and asked for a list of pain management drs in your area that take your insurance?
