Long Lu Capsules Can A Pregnant Woman Take It?

Fohow Longlu capsules have been given to me after I have taken so many drugs to control my blood pressure, and I've had two stillbirths. Wondering what do I do because I've seen several doctors before going into Chinese treatment. I am wondering if these are ok to take while pregnant? I will be waiting for any thoughts on this. Thanks!

Hi Melodier, sorry to hear about your health challenges and still births. Who has recommended the Long Lu capsules to you? Are you currently pregnant? Also, are you seeing a practitioner of Chinese medicine for this? From what I am seeing the manufacturer states that this is an herbal medicine containing Antler, Ginseng and Cordyceps - claiming to synthesize three types of components (animal, plant, fungi) into a single medicine. I am currently unable to find any independent medical literature which has studied this or made any statements about safety during pregnancy.

The manufacturer states that one of the uses of this is for the kidney, uterus, and to promote conception, among a number of other things. I can't say whether this will be safe for you or not, but I think a good idea would be double check with your doctor if you can, just to make sure the ingredients are safe during pregnancy (since they are not technically a "drug").
