Loestrin 24 Fe Bleeding Before Placebo Pills

I've been in loestrin 24 for a year now, possibly a year and a half. My boyfriend and I are active and we use pull-out with the birth control. I'm on my last day of white pills today and yesterday I started getting a brown spotting, like the beginning of my period, and now when I woke up today it was dark red and kind of clumpy (sorry) like it was the beginning of my period. I've never had my period start before my placebo pills, usually on the third brown pill is when it starts. I haven't missed a pill completely, but I have taken several this month 3-4 hours late, if that makes any difference? I'm a little freaked out and have been really stressed for a while. If anyone can shed some light on what's going on I'd reallllly appreciate it. Thanks.

If you've been stressed and have taken several late, then that is most likely what has caused it. It is normal for that to happen while you're on hormonal contraceptives, regardless of how long you've been taking them. It's just something that can happen when the hormone levels in your body are disrupted for some reason.

However, if it continues for a long time, or if the bleeding gets severe, then you should have it checked out.

Is there anything else I can help with?

Have a happy holiday!
